Voices are being heard! Last week we sent the membership a letter that could be used to reach out to your Senators and/or those on the committees set to review The Heroes Act / HR6800 and many of you responded that you did in fact send the letter and we are happy to say that at least one of you received and shared a response!
Below you will find a response from Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina, sent to us from Lorel Morris at Carolina Lenders. This is a very promising response as Senator Scott serves on the Senate Finance Committee and several subcommittees including the Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Protection.
We cannot rest just because he currently says he knows it won’t make it through the Senate. It is still important that everyone reach out to make sure this one Senator isn’t the only one fighting and that they all know what is at stake. In todays environment of uncertainty, this was certainly a bit of good news.
